📚The online eco-reference bookstore

What started as a kind donation from an environmentally-aware nature walk guest, has evolved over time into “Creation Living bookstore” – an online hub for reference reads on:

The Environment

• Business

• Languages

I grew up reading a book a day, and going on Sunday nature walks with the late Dr. Colin Hudson, whom I called “Uncle Colin,” as he was also in The Cecilian Singers choir, which my mum and ‘aunts’ were also members of.

So when I was gifted with a suitcase of books from Dr. Hudson’s personal collection, it was a moving and humbling moment. My first thought, as I started reading through the environmental books was, “people have to see this.” I knew these books weren’t to only be a gift to me, but they needed to be accessible by all who:

  • love the planet and are compelled to learn better ways of taking care of, and tending to the earth
  • are enterprising and on a journey to thrive in business
  • are studying in the fields of the environment, engineering and business
  • love language and communication

First, the books needed to be sorted – listed by title, author/s and theme, researched, categorized and set aside with care.

I unpacked the suitcase and read each title. Books on: agriculture, the environment, economics, ecology, technology, business, and engineering.

Experience as a freelance Documentation Specialist kicked in, driven by the gusto that I applied as a 4 year-old detective and founding member of “The Secret Two.” Paperwork was big then too, so this made a perfect opportunity to document content for what now is an online reference library. I’ll be adding new books along the way, so stay tuned for updates.
