Each day I learn to be more grateful and keep a smile in my heart, no matter the season or circumstance.
God is good all the time, and we are all made with love.
It’s in our essence.
Lessons along the way:
Be a blessing to someone, whether they recognize and appreciate it or not. Shine a light wherever you go. Speak less, pray more. Words matter – be kind with them. Songs can sometimes hurt, yet Psalms will always heal. Patience isn’t popular; it’s essential.
Be open to learning; none of us knows everything. Intelligence has nothing to do with class or colour. Lend a helping hand whenever you can. Be the same at home and outdoors; consistency in character is key to countenance and clarity.
Joy is precious; when it is rooted in Jesus it cannot be stolen or snuffed out.
Listen; don’t judge. Be a voice for the poor. Forgiveness is often a daily lesson. Work with an attitude of love. Hate is destruction, and also very boring.
Compassion can bring a glow of hope to someone who was just about to give up.
Cherish good friends. Share the good news. Be tender hearted and gentle. Speak life. Remember, you are loved. Live like it. Be thankful.
I hope, pray, and aim to remember this along the way.
