Hi friend!
It’s time to “Celebrate A Sister” with another special guest post.
I’m excited to share and try this recipe, simply because the creative lady behind it is a well-known cooking connoisseur, famous for her epic cupcakes (try saying that 3 times fast.) She was on the list of guest post invitees for quite a while, but I had no idea how in the world, as a relative “newbie” to the kitchen, I could approach her, being the established TV chef she is. The essence of Joywithin reminds me it’s not about competition; it’s about celebration…and that starts with recognition, and an invitation.
Pleasantly humbled, I asked, and she graciously agreed to share the recipe you’re about to read.
Her name is Selena “REBEL GLAM” Dodson, and the dish she’s so kindly sharing with us is: Blue Marlin with Fresh Herbs & Butter.

“REBEL GLAM” is a woman of integrity who places God and family first, and reaches out to others through the gift of her cooking and essence of her honest artistry.
On that note, here’s is Selena’s recipe for Blue Marlin with Fresh Herbs & Butter!
Ingredients:
2 lb blue marlin cut into 6 steaks
1/2 oz fresh dill
1/2 oz fresh cilantro
1/2 oz fresh scallion
1 oz water
1 clove garlic, peeled
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Rinse fish and pat dry. Add salt and pepper to taste, and set aside in a dish.
Place herbs, garlic and water in a blender and blend until well incorporated. (You can also use a mortar and pestle)
Pour blended mixture onto fish and rub in. Leave to marinate 10 to 20 minutes for best flavor.

Heat a large frying pan on low and melt the butter. Cook fish slowly about 4 minutes- until the side you can see is translucent only in the very middle and the sides are white.
Turn and cook for another 45 seconds then turn off and allow to sit in the pan another two minutes. The aim is to make sure the fish is just cooked, but not overdone.
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.
