Take a deep breath…

Hi there,

Can I ask you something? When last did you consciously take a deep breath?

Consider this as an invitation to take one now – better yet, how about taking three full, refreshing breaths right where you are now.

I’m grateful that breath work is a key part of my coaching method, but still need reminders every now and then…to slow down…and breathe…fully and from the diaphragm. In this way, when you breathe in, your tummy expands and gets bigger like a balloon preparing to give you the air you need…and when you inhale, the tummy contracts, tightens and sinks in. It’s different from the shallow-breathing we tend to lean towards, when going about the day at full pace, task-ticking, meeting-hopping, hustling and all the rest of it.

A deep breath...is an invitation to be still for a moment…be energized…to clear and filter our thoughts…and be grateful for the fact that we can actually take a deep breath.

3-5 minutes of quiet time at intervals throughout the day can brighten your state of mind and approach to the day. You might be surprised at how much your brain welcomes a moment to recharge. We remember to charge our phones, laptops and whatever else we use throughout the day that requires an electrical boost for regular use…yet our brain, attitude and wellness are far more valuable that those material things.

Whether it’s in your designated daily quiet time, or during a moment in traffic, while prepping for a meeting, enjoying a meal, or sitting at your desk, please take a moment each day…to breathe fully…and be refreshed…cropped-peachpuff-brush-stroke-photography-logo1.jpg
