The Gifts In You: Identifying, Nurturing & Sharing Them

Check out my episode “You are gifted, and there is a purpose for your life” from joy with In on Anchor:–and-there-is-a-purpose-for-your-life-e22eav

Regardless of where you are, what you’ve been and breathed through, what you’re facing and what you’ve overcome, there is a purpose for your life and gifts assigned to you.

Here’s a mini podcast for you, sis…for those moments you might need a little reminder of the light in you, or a gentle nudge in the direction of your calling.

In a world where living to impress others is a popular thing, we can sometimes lose sight of our own spark when scrolling through the edited highlights of other people. But that’s a trap; not only does it gobble up a whole set of precious time that could be lived better, it can also plant a seed of ingratitude, weed of envy, and create an internal environment of restlessness and disorientation.

Be encouraged…and learn to celebrate the strides of others while tuning into the gifts in you to add more sunshine to the mix. Together, they can make one beautiful melody.

Gifts don’t have to seem grand or require a fan club…they can be expressed in some of the most simple yet meaningful moments, but one thing I know is they grow and blossom the more you’re thankful and nurture them…aware that these gifts are God-given blessings and not of our own making.

Maybe you’re a patient listener, good with numbers, an aspiring author, chemistry genius, a coordinating kickboxer, sewing sensation, baking boss, prayer warrior, fabulous hostess, drawing dynamo, talented dancer, skilled swimmer, or have a knack for picking down and re-assembling gadgets – maybe you have the gift of recognizing pain and extending grace to someone who’s waiting on you to reach out – maybe you care about homeless animals, are passionate about eco solutions to environmental issues or have an invitation spirit that ushers someone’s heart to the Lord…whatever your gifting or your passion, there is a purpose for your life. You are not simply a sack of meat, bones, and cells just traipsing around gobbling up oxygen the map for no good reason.

Gifts are meant to be identified, nurtured, activated and shared, not hidden, tucked away or forgotten. Can you join me and consider for a moment…is there a gift you might be neglecting? One that can inspire, serve, and encourage others? One that can invite deep grateful breaths, sunshine smiles and a sense of purpose into your life and the lives of those you encounter along the way?

How would you live if you remembered that you’re gifted? How would it influence your approach to each day if you realized that the gift is not only in you – but you are a gift too?!

We’re here to encourage each other and earth is a work-in-progress platform. Go on, sis – stir up that pool of gifts and shine that light bright!

By His grace, for our good, and His glory according to His purpose and will for our life, in His timing.

  1. Loved this and yes, could hear the crickets and the dogs, but smiled because this is exactly what happens to me when I try recording in the “stillness of the night” 🙂 Keep up the good work; love the encouragement.

    1. Thanks for sharing sunshine ☀️- the crickets were at full volume that night but hey 😂 – glad it served to encourage. Have a light rest of the day Fitness Boss
