🍽 A few years ago, I used to be too busy to cook, and so barely ate in between studio sessions, rehearsals and travel. Even with all the snorkelling, dancing, working out and beach-walking in between my eating pattern was on and off. Scroll forward. Being in the kitchen isn’t a chore; it’s a reminder to be thankful there’s something to put on the table. The questions keep coming in about my natural hair care nowadays (since opening my locs after mussee 10 or more years) and some still asking for a YT channel sharing steps. Here’s a pic walk-through of deep conditioning & wash day. One thing’s for sure; taking care of my hair (on wash day) takes a whole lot longer than when it was loc’d, but know what? I enjoy the process and pruning time. It’s a reminder to slow down for a purpose - not tedious, but nurturing and puts you in a peaceful state when listening to or singing along with something uplifting or quietly thanksgiving. (Oh, the last pic is from next-day hair.) And in case you wanna know how long it took to open my locs’ - 3 months
